The Willenberg Career and Transition Center (CTC) serves young adults ages 18 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities who follow a modified curriculum. Its mission is to build independence and prepare students for life after school through vocational training, community integration and independent-living skills, and to help them earn a high school diploma.
Students get hands-on experience in auto detailing, culinary arts, computer technology, horticulture, graphic design, printing, retail and aquaculture through the innovative “Blue Lab,” along with life skills such as cooking, budgeting, hygiene and community awareness.
Real-world opportunities include running Finn’s Bistro, managing a print shop, catering, and interning with Kaiser Permanente through Project SEARCH. Thanks to its community partnerships, Willenberg is one of the leading schools in the country at helping students find employment and purpose.
