The park has a gentle waterfall, a meandering stream and peaceful serene ponds that are home to wild ducks and geese. Dramatic hills with lush lawns and a gazebo, at the end of a rose lined walkway, set on a hill top offer a spectatular views of the city and harbor below. Averill Park is the site for many weddings and parties. It’s not unusual to see brides and grooms posing next to the gazebo or under blooming lavender Jacaranda Trees for photographs. Bring your walking shoes and a picnic lunch, and make an afternoon of it!
