Angels Gate is a great place to explore the arts together as a family. AGCC offers a range of programs and events that are suitable for families with children.
Angels Gate Cultural Center is a contemporary arts center in Angels Gate Park, on the hill above Point Fermin. It gives local artists affordable studio space and brings the community in through exhibitions, classes and family programs.

The center’s gallery shows contemporary work by local, national and international artists year-round. Its Studio Artist Program rents workspace to emerging and established artists, and community classes cover many mediums for all skill levels. For families and young people there are family workshops, ArtLab, a Teen Mural Club and an Artists-in-Classrooms program in local schools.
The center is housed in former Fort MacArthur buildings, so a visit pairs well with the Fort MacArthur Museum, the Korean Bell of Friendship and the Marine Mammal Care Center, all in the same park.
