The San Pedro Harbor, officially known as The Port of Los Angeles is the busiest cargo terminal in the United States. The economy of Southern California and a large portion of the US is dependent on San Pedro and The Port of Los Angeles. Commercial shipping is the lifeblood of the port and the port supports the commercial carriers with facilities and a work force that is unmatched by any other US port.
